Electrical Load Correction

The purpose built TICOR™ electrical module utilises Load correction formulae which assess the relationship between equipment rated load, actual load and measured and ambient temperatures. It then offers automatically, the following three values:

• Estimated temp at max load
• maximum amps to safely apply
• fault severity grade

This module allows the thermographer to test equipment, even when not running at full load, during the inspection whenever a temperature anomaly is encountered and where a load reading can be obtained safely. It gives the ability to find faults which show temperatures even at close to ambient. Estimate component temperature at simulated maximum load, offer a maximum allowed load which can be safely applied to the circuit or component and remain beneath the threshold temperature and automatically grade the fault to organise and plan remedial work.
